Shelby Home and Public Health, Inc. as a Medicare certified agency is committed to affirmative compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards of practice with emphasis on condition of participation and reimbursement rules; accuracy and completeness of billing and record keeping; appropriate screening and supervision of staff; reporting of possible instances of fraud and abuse to the Executive Director in a confidential manner; and accurate recording and clinical data, thus prohibiting falsification of time and/or clinical records.

Skilled Nursing

Shelby Home and Public Health offers skilled nursing care and home health aide services (on an intermittent basis) to homebound patients in the Shelby area. Home health services are Medicare certified and are reimbursed by Medicare as long as the patient is homebound and has a written treatment plan signed by a physician. In addition to Medicare, Shelby Home and Public Health accepts many private insurance plans, Medicaid, and private payment. Payment based on a sliding scale is also available.

Home Health Aide Services

Home health aide services are provided to patients requiring assistance in meeting their bathing, personal care, and skin care needs. Our home health aides are available to assist patients 2-3 times per week for up to 1 hour per visit Payment for these services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurance plans. Private payment and sliding scale payment are also accepted.
